Picture a normal weekday
Write down your regular journeys: work, school, groceries and any medical or family commitments. Then check them from the actual building entrance. “Hennur” or “Hennur Main Road” on an advertisement is not enough to judge the journey.
If two adults travel to different workplaces, test both routes. A location that saves one person time but adds a difficult daily trip for the other may not be the best balance.
Visit the streets as well as the apartment
Walk the immediate approach if it is safe to do so. Notice the footpath, crossings, lighting, traffic and access to shops. Ask how deliveries and visitor vehicles enter. These details matter even when the community has many amenities.
For school-going children
Confirm the exact school campus, current admission position and transport route directly with the school. A nearby school does not automatically mean a seat or a convenient bus pickup.
For older family members
Check steps, lift access, walking surfaces and the route to regular medical appointments. Look at the actual home and common areas rather than assuming every unit has the same access.
Ask about basic services
For an occupied community, ask the management about water arrangements, power backup, maintenance charges and waste collection. For a new project, ask what is included in the written specification and what is still proposed. Do not assume a service is operational because it appears in a rendering.
Make one visit at your usual travel time
A weekend afternoon can feel very different from a weekday evening. Repeat the important journey at the time you would normally use it. Record the date and conditions so you understand what your observation does—and does not—show.
